Human Slop Worse Than AI Slop?

YouTube is full of channels where people simply read Wikipedia articles, Reddit threads, forum posts and news stories over some generic background footage and call it content.

What's the point? Someone else has done all the research, writing and thinking, while the YouTuber just reads it aloud and collects the views.

At least AI slop is often obvious. Human Slop gives the impression of original content when there's little or no original thought involved.

Im not talking about proper commentary, criticism or analysis. Im talking about people recycling other people's work without adding anything worthwhile.

Have we reached the point where simply reading something written by somebody else counts as being a content creator?
